Produces large cabbage leaves on top of a tall thick stalk.
Pick leaves from the bottom while the plant continually produces new leaves and grows tall.
In some areas (very climate dependent), the stalks can get up to 7 ft tall- Ours average around 3 ft. tall
Edible Leaves are absolutely delicious raw (we enjoy ours like lettuce wrap style) or cooked (roasted with garlic-yum!). You can also ferment them sauerkraut style however, the leaves are thinner and will not have the same crunchy consistency as traditional sauerkraut.. but just as tasty and healthy!
